ESCWA organized the Expert group review of the Climate Change Integrated Vulnerability assessment with suopport from GIZ/ ACCWaM project to vet the application of the vulnerability assessment methodology prepared within the framework of the RICCAR initiative.
 
The primary objectives of the meeting were to vet the final set of indicators, weights and normalization scheme applied during the preparation of the assessment. This small expert consultation served as a pre-peer review of the inputs and preliminary outputs being produced within the framework of the assessment, based on the methodology finalized with GIZ in May 2015.
 
The chief outcomes included
1.  Full review of all indicators used for the VA and their respective classification schemes and proposed updates
2.  Decision to present only the particular relevant area of interest for each sector/subsector on aggregated maps
