The Sixth Meeting of the Board of Governors (BOG) of the ESCWA Technology Centre (ETC) will be held on 14 November 2016 in Amman, Jordan. The BOG includes official representatives of 16 Arab countries. The activities of ETC in 2016 will be presented before the BOG, as well as the results and recommendations of the ETC Technical Committee (TC) meeting that was held on 4 October 2016. The members of the TC for this year included 35 researchers, academics, and experts from 12 Arab Countries covering all technology areas related to ETC mandate.
 
During the meeting, the Board will discuss and approve the work plan and activities of ETC for 2017–2018.  The BOG Meeting will be preceded by a special workshop for the BOG members on methodologies for the “Research Impact Assessment” which will be conducted by ETC in cooperation with Qatar Foundation on 13 November 2016.
