National good agricultural practices: Guideline for vegetables and fruits

September 2021

National standards on agricultural production of fruits and vegetables are becoming increasingly important to ensure food safety, produce quality, environmental sustainability and promote socially acceptable practices for local food consumption and improving public health.

This guideline aims to provide a follow-up methodology and practical implementation steps at the national level to enhance the safety of agricultural products, including vegetables and fruits, and reduce the risks of physical, chemical and biological pollution by adopting sound and practical actions that take into account health and safety conditions during cultivation, picking, transportation, storage, and distribution processes.
