Is one of the core protocols of the Internet Protocol Suite. TCP is one of the two original components of the suite (the other being Internet Protocol, or IP), so the entire suite is commonly referred to as TCP/IP. In computer networking, unicast transmission is the sending of messages to a single network destination host on a packet switching network. The term unicast is formed in analogy to the term broadcast which means transmitting the same data to all possible destinations.
