Monitoring and reporting are key elements of the 2030 Agenda.

In addition to advocating for a multi-stakeholder approach, the 2030 Agenda also advocates a whole-of-government approach to planning, implementation, follow-up and review of the SDGs in the region.

Engaging audit institutions is a track that is gaining traction nationally and regionally. A memorandum of understanding between ESCWA and ARABOSAI will guide the implementation of a set of activities in the region to raise the awareness, build the capacity and engage supreme audit institutions in the Arab region.
