ESCWA and the Arab Institute for Women at the Lebanese American University are collaborating for the 8th year to deliver the “16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence campaign: Overlooked No More: Celebrating the work of gender-based violence activists in the Arab region”. The campaign engages graphic design students to create posters to raise awareness on the important work of essential service providers in the Arab region. It concludes with an online panel entitled “Essential Service Provision for Women and Girls during the War in Gaza”.
The panel discussed the impact of the war on persons in Gaza, including pregnant women, women and girls with disabilities, and young women and girl, as well as the advocacy at the international level to protect women and girls.
