ESCWA and the Arab Institute for Women at the Lebanese American University are joining forces for the ninth consecutive year to deliver the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign. This year, in collaboration with the UNDP regional office and civil society organizations from the Arab region, the campaign focuses on highlighting the profound effects of occupation, war, and conflict on women in the Arab region.
Sixteen impactful messages, reflecting the experiences of women in Lebanon, Libya, Palestine, the Sudan, the Syrian Arab Republic and Yemen, will be shared on the social media platforms of partner organizations. These messages aim to raise awareness and foster dialogue on this critical issue.
