Under the umbrella of the project on Building Urban Economic Resilience during and after COVID-19, ESCWA is organizing a series of events of global, regional, national, and local scopes. These events aim to initiate a dialogue on how cities can better address the impacts of this crisis through economic recovery and resilience building and increase awareness on the concept, principles and key factors of urban economic resilience aligned with 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the New Urban Agenda. They also aim to support pilot cities in implementing the project, namely Alexandria, Beirut and Kuwait in diagnosing their performance in terms of urban economic resilience and develop related urban economic resilience and financial recovery plans.
