ESCWA is collaborating with the United Nations Population Fund Regional Office for Arab States, the Arab Institute for Training and Research in Statistics, and other partners to organize a regional workshop aimed at strengthening the capacities of national statistical offices and national statistics systems in the field of census thematic analysis, as a strategy to enhance accessibility and utilization of census data.
The workshop aims specifically to achieve the following:
- Discuss the purpose and benefits of thematic analysis as a census dissemination strategy;
- Discuss mechanisms to identify and select thematic analysis topics through user engagement;
- Identify practical approaches applied by national statistical offices to optimize census thematic analysis to respond to user needs;
- Identify tools and best practices for census thematic analysis, including various outputs and their dissemination.
