The affiliated and side events of the MENA Climate Week 2023 include a session on resilient and gender sensitive municipal planning in the Arab region.
The desired outcomes include the following:
- Provide an overview of the challenges of implementing inclusive and participatory planning within municipalities in the Arab region through concrete examples from Lebanon and Jordan.
- Review emerging best practices in the field of climate resilient planning with the mainstreaming of gender at the local level.
- Engage the audience in the project’s Community of Practice (CoP) on Urban Water and Climate Resilience in the Arab Region.
