The fourth session of the Committee on Trade Policies discusses trends and highlights of regional trade in the context of current global developments. It examines the risks for Arab countries under the new European Union Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, the results of the newest edition of the Global Survey on Digital and Sustainable Trade Facilitation, and the role of competition policy in trade.
Participants also review progress on trade issues made by the ESCWA secretariat and member States since the third session of the Committee, held in Tunis in March 2023.
