The twenty-sixth session of the Committee on Transport and Logistics serves as an important forum for reviewing the activities undertaken by the ESCWA secretariat, as well as developments in transport and logistics among member States since the previous session held in Amman on 26–27 November 2024. This session addresses emerging topics within the sector, including the role of digitalization in promoting sustainable transport, climate change and sustainable mobility, and means to enhancing the collection of road traffic data across the region.
In recognition of World Sustainable Transport Day on 26 November, the Committee convenes a round table discussion focused on the implementation plan for the United Nations Decade of Sustainable Transport 2026–2035.
