The Digital Social Innovation Lab is a project designed to address pressing socio-economic and environmental challenges in the Arab region through inclusive, technology-enabled innovation. Implemented by Creativity Lab and Taghyeer, in partnership with ESCWA, the Lab empowers young people, civil society, entrepreneurs, and public sector actors to co-create scalable, technology-driven solutions.
By applying human-centred design, systems thinking, and agile prototyping, the Lab fosters the development of digital tools and solutions tackling food security, agritech, water scarcity, renewable energy, and climate change, alongside broader social priorities such as education, health and governance. The project bridges gaps in the Arab innovation ecosystem, promotes multi-stakeholder collaboration, and aligns with the ESCWA mandate to advance digital transformation, inclusive development, and climate-resilient growth.
