The workshop aims to support the Greater Irbid Municipality in advancing the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The sessions aim to validate preliminary results and address specific needs of Irbid in relation to the Voluntary Local Review (VLR) process, organized by UN-Habitat and ESCWA.
This workshop enhances the VLR process by improving local expertise in sustainable development, partnership building, and evidence-based policy and decision-making. It contributes to strengthening SDG localization, multi-level governance, and the formulation, monitoring, and implementation of local policies, programmes, and projects.
