In light of the outcomes from the third session of the Trade Policy Committee and following an official request from the Ministry of Trade and Export Promotion of Tunisia, there is an initiative to create a national version of the Global Economywide Trade Simulator Interface (GETSI) specifically adapted to Tunisia’s economic context.
This workshop aims to define the specific features of the national version, including the sectoral and geographical coverage, baseline scenario, and data requirements. It also explores the capabilities of simulation platforms developed by ESCWA, which are used for ex-ante assessment of trade policies and economic shocks, and how these tools can support Tunisia’s objectives.
