ESCWA is convening a national consultation meeting to assess groundwater governance in Morocco, specifically focusing on the Oulad Bousbaa pilot aquifer. This event brings together stakeholders including representatives from relevant ministries and government agencies, research institutions, farmer communities, and other key participants.
During the meeting, the Study Team uses the Groundwater Governance Assessment Tool for the Arab Region to evaluate the selected aquifer system. The assessment is intended to produce recommendations to enhance groundwater governance in the aquifer and improve the tool’s scalability and adaptability across the region.
