ESCWA is organizing the second national workshop for members of the National Working Group on Equality in Morocco, to integrate a multidimensional equality lens into policy design and implementation.
Building on the capacity-development work of ESCWA under the project “Equality: Creating Opportunities for Future Generations,” the workshop supports governments in designing more inclusive, equitable policies by equipping policymakers with practical tools to analyze and address multidimensional inequality. It also advances the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, particularly Goal 10 on reducing inequalities, by helping translate global commitments into evidence-based national policies.
The sessions guide participants from concepts to application by:
- Reviewing core concepts of multidimensional equality;
- Assessing existing policies through analytical tools;
- Formulating data-driven hypotheses;
- Analyzing indicators to generate policy-relevant insights;
- Redesigning interventions to be more inclusive and integrated;
- Presenting group findings and developing a policy roadmap.
