New bridges of partnership

Under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein of Jordan, the regional Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Europe Future Energy Dialogue (MEFED) is being hosted by the Jordanian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and the German Federal Government.  Building on the successful energy cooperation between the MENA region and Europe, the aim is for the conference to become a leading forum for key stakeholders in the energy sector to further improve cooperation between and within the two regions.

The event is organized in collaboration with ESCWA, the European Commission, International Energy Agency, International Renewable Energy Agency, League of Arab States, Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, Observatoire Méditerranéen de l’Energie, and the Union for the Mediterranean.

High-level representatives of governments, industry, academia and civil society are attending the event to exchange experiences and ideas regarding reliable, affordable and sustainable energy supply.
