As part of a series of workshops to "modernize price data extraction with the Automatic Price Collection Tool", a national capacity-building workshop is being organized for the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics in Cairo, Egypt, with the goal of reinforcing institutional capabilities in automating and enhancing the process of price data collection.
The training introduces participants to the key components of the Automatic Price Collection Tool (APCT). It trains them on the fundamentals of Python programming, highlights modern digital data sources, and includes practical exercises related to Selenium automation.
The workshop concludes with a review of participants’ progress and technical outputs, confirming their readiness to deploy APCT as part of the national strategy of Egypt to improve the timeliness, accuracy and efficiency of price statistics.
