The Expert Group Meeting on “National Multidimensional Poverty Reduction Strategy for Palestine” aims to initiate the work with the Palestinian government to develop its national strategy for reducing multidimensional poverty. The workshop also aims at building the capacity of the relevant staff at the Ministry of Social Development in Palestine to implement the strategy.
Specific meeting objectives:
- Establish a comprehensive picture of the current context and needs of the Palestine National Authority in order to develop a multidimensional poverty reduction strategy;
- Discuss the possible linkages with existing national strategies and policies
- Agree on next steps and preliminary structure for the strategy
