Within the framework of the Sida-funded Regional Initiative for Promoting Small-Scale Renewable Energy Applications in Rural Areas of the Arab Region (REGEND), and with support from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in Jordan, ESCWA is conducting a series of capacity-building workshops for students, engineers and practitioners to enhance their knowledge and skills on renewable energy, energy efficiency, sustainable development, rural development, and the water-energy-food nexus.
The workshops rely on the material of a REGEND online course, which covers a comprehensive range of topics such as sustainable energy, agriculture, food production, women empowerment, and the water-energy-food nexus.
