ESCWA is organizing a workshop for students of the Jordan University for Science and Technology (JUST) at the Innovation Centre, in coordination with the student chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers at the university. The workshop seeks to familiarize students with the social, environmental and economic impacts of renewable energy, and its applications in Jordan, especially in rural areas. It also covers energy efficiency, green economy and the water-energy-food nexus.
This event is part of a series of workshops conducted within the framework of the Regional Initiative to Promote Small–Scale Renewable Energy Applications in Rural Areas of the Arab Region (REGEND) to empower young people and women in Jordan.
