ESCWA, in cooperation with the Palestinian Ministry of Social Development, is organizing an inception workshop that brings together representatives from the Ministry of Finance, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, and other relevant government institutions. Participants discuss the data, methodology, and requirements for developing the Social Expenditure Monitor (SEM) database for Palestine.
The workshop introduces the SEM methodology, reviews available expenditure data, facilitates practical discussions on indicators and classifications, and establishes the next steps for developing the SEM dashboard and related policy recommendations.
