To advance the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Jordanian National Commission for Education, Culture and Science organized an awareness and coordination workshop for the “SDG Stories” project on 15 and 16 July in Aqaba, in partnership with ESCWA, the UNESCO Office in Amman, and the Royal Marine Conservation Society of Jordan.
ESCWA briefed participants on the launch of its “SDG Stories” project in 2021 in several Arab countries. It also highlighted the project’s prospects in the region, including the inclusion of 16 new schools from southern Jordan and the planned expansion to seven additional Arab countries next year.
The workshop also featured an open discussion that allowed participants to exchange views on the project and explore ways to implement it in diverse community settings.
