To promote and mainstream digital accessibility to provide innovative and equitable solutions that ensure digital inclusion and empowerment for all, ESCWA and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), hosted by the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) in Jordan, organized a regional event titled: “Accessible Arab Region 2025: ICT for All”.
In its fourth edition held in Amman on 29 and 30 April, the event aimed to raise awareness on policies and initiatives related to digital accessibility, exchange lessons learned, and strengthen collaboration among participants, with a strong focus on knowledge development and capacity-building.
The event also highlighted good practices for enabling all people to effectively access the digital world, ensuring that the needs of marginalized communities, persons with disabilities and older persons are considered in the planning and design of digital solutions.
