Anti-dumping and safeguard measures are essential tools for protecting national industries from unfair trade practices. These measures aim to strengthen countries’ ability to address dumping challenges and maintain economic balance.
In this context, ESCWA organized two consecutive workshops from 12 to 14 November to build the capacities of experts from the Ministry of Industry in Palestine and the Ministry of Economy and Trade in Lebanon, respectively. The workshops aimed to provide participants with a deeper understanding of anti-dumping and safeguard measures in international trade regulations and to analyse their impact on national industries.
The workshops familiarized Palestinian and Lebanese officials with the legal and international procedures, enhancing their ability to make informed decisions in trade protection and implement the most appropriate anti-dumping and safeguard actions.
