On 29 and 30 October, ESCWA organized two online workshops: the first for civil society organizations and the second for representatives of national women’s machineries, aimed at enhancing their understanding and use of sex-disaggregated statistics.
The workshops provided foundational knowledge and practical skills to leverage gender data in promoting equality across the Arab region. They deepened participants’ understanding of the importance of accurate gender statistics in evidence-based policymaking.
The workshops introduced essential statistical tools and methodologies, and explored practical strategies for accessing, analysing, and utilizing sex-disaggregated data to support national efforts in collecting, analysing, and disseminating gender statistics.
