As part of its ongoing commitment to urban development and the acceleration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Arab region, ESCWA co-organized two key events on the sidelines of the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF).
The first, titled “Act Local, Accelerate Global: Advancing Inclusive, Science- and Evidence-Based Solutions for SDG Localization in the Arab Region”, showcased how cities across the Arab region were advancing SDG localization through inclusive, data-driven approaches.
In a complementary event, ESCWA co-organized a thought leadership dialogue on data-driven value creation for cities. Experts and stakeholders explored the fundamental values cities must embrace to become more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable.
