Within the framework of the technical support provided to Arab countries to promote social justice in socioeconomic policies and programmes, ESCWA, in collaboration with the Institute of National Planning and the Commission for Sustainable Development in Libya, organized from 13 to 16 August a workshop on developing policies based on social and economic equality.
The workshop aimed to support the Libyan national task force to identify key social justice related areas and build its capacities to develop and implement a national social justice strategy.
It also contributed to enhance the skills of participants to train national and sectoral institutions on mainstreaming and implementing concepts and principles of social justice and equality in policy planning.
