Based on the need for a sectoral action plan in education to implement the digital transformation strategy, ESCWA and the Ministry of Communication and Technology in Syria (MoCT) organized a national workshop on digital government transformation in education and academic sectors.
The workshop, held on 21 September, gathered representatives of public and private educational and academic institutions involved in the development and implementation of digital policies. They discussed the impacts of digital government transformation on sustainable development, and shared relevant regional and international practices.
The workshop also touched on the current and planned initiatives of MoCT, as well as those of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher Education, related to the implementation of digital transformation.
