ESCWA organized a study visit for members of the Djiboutian Statistical Institute (INSTAD) to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistic (CAPMAS) in Egypt, to build their capacity to carry out and manage censuses.
During the visit between 12 to 16 March, INSTAD members were given a comprehensive overview of the processes and systems used by CAPMAS to conduct their electronic census - from planning to data collection, processing, and dissemination.
The visit was also an opportunity for the delegation to interact with experts and officials involved in the census process, and to learn from their experiences.
