On the sidelines of the 2nd UN Food Systems Summit Stocktaking Moment (UNFSS+4), held in Addis Ababa from 27 to 29 July, ESCWA co-organized several events, including a session titled: "Mobilizing Investment for SDG2: The Roles of Public-Private Partnerships".
Organized in collaboration with CropTrust and the Arab Gulf Programme for Development (AGFUND), the session aimed at advancing the Global Flagship Initiative for Food Security, a coalition focused on addressing food insecurity, poverty, and land degradation, with an emphasis on arid regions.
In another meeting titled "Transforming Food Systems in the Arab Region: Financing for Climate Resilience and Post-Conflict Recovery”, ESCWA, the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) and the Arab Center for the Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands (ACSAD) brought together key stakeholders to discuss practical strategies for advancing food systems transformation in the Arab region.
