ESCWA announces shortlisted projects for the Digital Arabic Content Award for Sustainable Development 2024-2025

ESCWA Digital Arabic Content Award 2024-2025

Following two rounds of jury evaluation, ESCWA has announced the shortlisted projects for the ESCWA Digital Arabic Content Award for Sustainable Development 2024-2025, in two categories: Institutions and Young Entrepreneurs. 

A total of eight projects have been shortlisted in the Institutions category and nine in the Young Entrepreneurs category, listed below in alphabetical order:

Institutions: Abwaab AI For Digital Content(منصة أبواب التعليمية)  from Jordan, Antame (أنتمي) from Saudi Arabia, Content Style Guide (دليل أسلوب كتابة المحتوى) from Egypt, FORSA (فرصة) from Jordan, I Read Arabic (أقرأ بالعربيّة) from Jordan, KAU Open Educational Resources (الموارد التعليمية المفتوحة بجامعة الملك عبد العزيز) from Saudi Arabia, MFloos account - Kuraimi Bank (حساب أم فلوس - بنك الكريمي) from Yemen and Nawafeth app (تطبيق نوافذ منشآت)  from Saudi Arabia. 

Young Entrepreneurs: Adam Wa Mishmish (آدم ومشمش) from Jordan, Climate school (مدرسة المناخ) from Egypt, MyTindy from Morocco,  Rouh (روح) from Palestine, Roznama app(الروزنامة) from Syria, Shebbak Souri (شباك سوري) from Syria, SihhaTech app (تطبيق صحّتك) from Algeria, Wajeez (وجيز) from Jordan and We learn Arabic in Smart Ways (نتعلم العربية بطرق ذكية) from Bahrain.

The winning projects from each category will be announced during the 2025 Arab Forum for Sustainable Development (AFSD), scheduled to be held from 14 to 16 April, at the UN House in Beirut.

The Award recognizes outstanding digital projects that support or relate to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Since its launch in 2021, ESCWA has collaborated with the World Summit Awards (WSA) to organize it annually.
