ESCWA Executive Secretary Rola Dashti received the Distinguished Arab Women Award in the International Organizations category, granted by the Arab Women Authority on 18 September at the UN House in Beirut.
“I am honoured to receive the Distinguished Arab Women Award for the International Organizations category from the Arab Women Authority. This recognition is not for me personally, but rather an acknowledgment of the efforts of Arab women in leading change, breaking barriers, and shaping a brighter future for the region,” said Dashti.
The Distinguished Arab Women Award was launched in 2004 by the League of Arab States (LAS) and is considered as the highest Arab distinction honouring outstanding and creative women.
