ESCWA has launched two new online training courses through Learn, its e-learning platform, to strengthen capacities in climate finance and evidence-based climate policymaking across the Arab region. The courses were developed in collaboration with the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD).
The first course, "Climate Finance Taxonomy Options for the Arab Region", explores key concepts, models, and practical approaches to designing and implementing sustainable finance taxonomies tailored to national and regional contexts. Anyone interested can join the course here.
The second course, "Regional Climate Modelling Assessment Tools and Their Applications in the Arab Region: From Science to Policymaking", aims to advance the transition from climate science to climate policymaking by empowering officials and stakeholders to use regional climate modelling outputs in evidence-based decision-making.
