ESCWA and NAMA Social Development Center in Qatar organized a national consultation meeting to establish a social incubator to empower young Qatari men and women, and prepare them to become social entrepreneurs who understand their communities’ needs.

The consultation meeting, held on 13 September, gathered various stakeholders in social entrepreneurship. It provided an overview of the social incubator proposal or roadmap, and discussed its relevance, strategic goals, different components and activities, as well as its governance model.

Participants shared their own experience and lessons learned within their journeys as entrepreneurs, and identified potential collaboration opportunities between different stakeholders based on the programmes they run and the activities suggested in the incubator plan.
