As part of its ongoing efforts to advance gender equality and empower women in the Arab region, ESCWA organized on 16 December a Gender Open Day to provide staff members with the opportunity to strengthen the capacities of its staff members to deliver on gender equality.
Participants discussed with selected experts mainstreaming gender in selected topics such as economy, climate change, digital transformation, and governance.
The activity concluded by announcing the winners of the Munasara –Gender Equality awards. The golden award went to Nathalie Grand for her work on the Index Simulators for Policymaking in the Arab Region (ISPAR) platform, developed in a gender-sensitive manner.
