Considering the continuous evolution in statistical methodologies and price data collection techniques, ESCWA organized a workshop in Tunisia on innovation in price data collection tools. Held from 21 to 24 July, the workshop explored innovative tools, with a particular focus on the Automatic Price Collection Tool (APCT) developed by the Commission.
Participants explored the functionalities and applications of the APCT, gaining insights into its potential impact on enhancing price statistics. The workshop also featured hands-on sessions, interactive discussions, and case studies showcasing successful implementations of the tool in diverse economic contexts.
The APCT is a pioneering solution specifically designed to modernize and streamline the process of collecting price data. It harnesses advanced technology to improve the efficiency and accuracy of data collection, thereby contributing to better price indices.
