To create opportunities for unemployed young men and women and support them in enhancing their employability prospects, the Josour initiative, launched by ESCWA in May 2022, was at the 2nd Arab SMEs Summit in Marrakech last December.
Young entrepreneurs gathered at the Josour booth to explore its features. They also participated in workshops that allowed them to engage with policymakers and investors and discuss the challenges they faced in their journey to enhance their small businesses or find suitable opportunities.
In the same context, Josour team held a field visit to Egypt from 3 to 7 December 2023. Supported by the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development, the mission aimed to introduce the initiative to university students in the country.
