To enhance social justice in the health sector in Iraq, ESCWA and the Ministry of Planning organized a national workshop on the strategic framework for mainstreaming social justice principles in the health sector in the country.
The workshop, held from 8 to 10 April, brought together representatives from relevant governmental entities to discuss the legislative and policy framework supporting social justice in the health sector and to coordinate efforts to ensure the development of sustainable policies that meet the needs of all citizens without discrimination.
The workshop also reviewed successful international experiences that could be beneficial, in addition to analysing existing challenges and gaps and proposing practical solutions to overcome them.
