ESCWA, in cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the League of Arab States (LAS), organized a parliamentary dialogue on the sixth review of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD).
During the event on 11 May, participants discussed challenges in implementing the 2013 Cairo Declaration, and shared knowledge and expertise in matters related to population and development.
Key messages will feed into the United Nations Secretary General’s report on the sixth review of the ICPD, which will be presented to the Commission on Population and Development in April 2024.
