The Arab Mayors Academy, launched in July by ESCWA, UN-Habitat and UCLG-MEWA, held a second round of webinars on 11, 18 and 25 September.
The fourth webinar explored essential factors that contribute to urban well-being, and how cities can enhance the quality of life by focusing on the elements that truly matter to their residents, such as accessible green spaces, efficient public transportation, affordable housing, and more.
The fifth webinar delved into the future of cities, which depends on strong local economies and a healthy environment, and how cities can achieve both. For its part, the sixth webinar tackled the need to invest in cities in a sustainable manner, and presented innovative funding solutions that go beyond traditional models.
