On 3 and 4 August, ESCWA and the Ministry of Communication and Technology in Somalia (MoCT) organized a national capacity-building workshop on developing an implementation roadmap of the e-Government strategy.
ESCWA presented the main concepts of digital government transformation, transformation, as well as relevant international and regional indicators. Discussions tackled selected countries’ experiences (from and outside the Arab region) in developing related action plans.
Representatives from public institutions involved in the development and implementation of digital policies and projects discussed national initiatives that need to be launched in Somalia to initiate the implementation of the adopted e-government strategy.
