As part of the activities of the Multi-Stakeholder Platform for Protecting Biodiversity in the Arab region, the Nature-Based Solutions for Climate Resilience Working Group held its second in-person meeting on 11 and 12 June, organized by the American University of Beirut (AUB).
Participants reviewed and refined project proposals by improving the clarity of their vision and objectives, strengthening their structural coherence and budgeting, and increasing their fundability by aligning them with national priorities and donor interests.
The proposals address strategic themes, including forest restoration for climate resilience in the Mashreq-Maghreb region through the integration of technology and traditional knowledge, mangrove restoration to support coastal resilience, and the creation of ecological corridors to enhance biodiversity resilience across the Arab region.
