Amid rapid economic changes and the growing need for updated statistical standards, ESCWA, the Arab Monetary Fund and other partners, organized a regional workshop on the “Implementation of the System of National Accounts 2025 and Digital Supply and Use Tables”.
Held in Abu Dhabi from 9 to 11 September, the workshop equipped experts working at national statistical offices in developing and emerging economies with the skills to produce high-quality data on the digital economy, supporting policymaking and monitoring progress towards sustainable development.
The 2025 System of National Accounts (SNA) is the new international statistical standard for national accounts. It is an update of the 2008 SNA and includes new economic developments such as globalization and digitalization.
