As part of regional and international efforts to modernize statistical systems and enhance the use of administrative data and the digitalization in the production of official statistics, ESCWA, in coordination with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Jordan, organized a workshop from 8 to 10 February to provide technical advice on enumeration activities.
The workshop focused on supporting the Department of Statistics in Jordan in updating self-enumeration, developing field enumeration methodologies, and assessing administrative records, thereby enhancing the readiness and quality of the population and housing census in line with international standards.
Participants agreed on a work plan for the next phase, including mechanisms for implementation and follow-up.
