To discuss a national action plan for digital accessibility in Morocco, ESCWA and the Digital Development Agency (ADD) organized a national workshop on 15 May. The workshop highlighted the main concepts of digital inclusion and accessibility, the role of emerging technologies in implementing digital accessibility, and the proposed action plan for Morocco.
Representatives from public institutions involved in the development and implementation of digital policies emphasized the need to officially adopt the digital accessibility action plan to empower persons with disabilities and older persons to use technology tools, applications, and services.
They also stressed the importance of using the Arab Digital Inclusion Platform (ADIP) tools developed by ESCWA to support the development of national plans and technical guidelines for digital accessibility.
