During the last two decades, care economy has increasingly become a priority for Governments and key stakeholders worldwide. ESCWA, in partnership with the Arab Women Organization (AWO), UN Women and ILO, organized a regional conference titled: “Towards a Regional Roadmap for the Care Economy in the Arab Region”.
Participants identified common ground and joint actions for the development of a regional roadmap for care economy. They also reviewed key frameworks, concepts and tools to advance the care economy policy agenda.
The conference, held in Jordan on 18 and 19 February, explored best practices, laws, policies, services and global and regional approaches related to care economy in the region.
