To help establish a renewed global financing framework for sustainable development, ESCWA and the other United Nations regional commissions organized a high-level side event on 3 July during the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4), titled “The role of regional commissions in supporting member States in the follow-up to the outcomes of FfD4”.
Participants discussed key financing for development issues and challenges specific to each region, the expected outcomes of FfD4, and how the regional commissions can support member States in the follow-up to these outcomes.
A summary of the side event will be published to inform continued dialogue among the regional commissions and relevant stakeholders, and to coordinate efforts for monitoring, follow-up, and implementation of the conference outcomes.
