On 25 and 26 August, and within the framework of the Regional Initiative to Promote Small-Scale Renewable Energy Applications in Rural Areas of the Arab Region (REGEND), ESCWA organized a workshop on the water-energy-food nexus as part of the capacity-building workshops for rural women in Chorbane, Governorate of Mahdia, Tunisia.
The workshop trained participants on how water, energy and food are interlinked, as well as on ways to manage projects that seek to strengthen this nexus.
The workshop also highlighted case studies and real-life examples of the approach behind this nexus.
